Soy Massage Oil Recipe
This soy massage oil recipe isn't to cure relaxation, it's to bring relaxation on. We all need to manage our stress before stress manages us. Getting a professional or amateur massage is a great way to eliminate stress from your body and mind. Some people meditate, some go for walks, and others give themselves a massage with the same dedication as meditators and walkers.
Why Soybean Oil?
Soybean oil moisturizes the skin and is easily absorbed. It is also doesn't have a very strong smell, and thus blends with essential oils easily. Soybean oil also has antioxidant properties. And, soybean oil costs a lot less than other vegetable based massage carrier oils. However, some people are allergic to soy products. If you don not know if you are allergic to soy products, do a patch test of soybean oil before going for a whole body massage. Put a drop or small smear of soy oil on the underside of your arm and leave it there for 24 hours. If nothing bad happens to that spot, then you are safe to use a soy massage oil recipe.
The Recipe
Pick out an essential oil whose smell relaxes you. Popular relaxing scents include lavender, marjoram and frankincense. If you are lucky enough to have all three, you can certainly use all three in your massage. Take about 10 ml of soy oil and wither gently warm it or leave it in a separate dish under a radiator to heat up. For every 10 ml of soy oil, you need only 1 ml total of essential oil. This is only a few drops.
You need your hands stripped of all rings, the nails trimmed close and warmed. Icy hands on your skin are not the way to relax. You then cover your hands in the massage oil and rub away.
